In Memoriam: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of Solid Air’s musical family, guitarist John Salz, who passed away Wed. Aug. 24, 2011. A phenomenal guitarist, prolific songwriter, player with many bands and a kind and gentle soul whose spirit lives on in the music he gave to the world. He will be greatly missed. John's stellar guitar playing with Solid Air can be heard on “Broke Down in the Middle” from Connections I (Jackalope), “Local Color”, “When We Kiss”, “For What It’s Worth” and “Pioneers” on Local Color (Globe Records), “Beating of My Heart” and “Heartbreak Town” from Heartbreak Town (Globe Records).
